Hozi innovator is a granary of ideas and expertise that supports young entrepreneurs across the continent to run viable, profitable, and sustainable businesses. Our work is particularly hinged on Sustainable Development Goal One “no to poverty” and Goal 4 which is “quality education”. Our platform assists young entrepreneurs to sharpen their skills sets, refine their plans, cocreate solutions, rely on support from each other as colleagues as well as benefit from the expertise of renowned entrepreneurs. The curriculum that is rolled is of an international standard hosted by the University of Iowa in partnership with Biz Innovator and tailor made to fit the African context.

Hozi is a recipient of the prestigious Alumni Engagement and Innovation Fund for 2023. In implementing its projects, it is currently collaborating with regional and international partners namely, EduFri of Eswatini, Institute of International Business and the Jacobson Institute the University of Iowa, United States of America. EduAfri is an entrepreneurship educational program that focuses on giving young people between the ages of 10 to 35 years old an opportunity to get a simplified and practical approach to the world of business and entrepreneurship. The Jacobson Institute for Youth Entrepreneurship is a part of the John Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Center at the University of Iowa. BizInnovator Startup is a key element in the Jacobson Institute’s initiative to promote entrepreneurship to youth.

BizInnovator Startup is an entrepreneurship curriculum and professional
development program. It enables educators to teach the entrepreneurial mindset --
encouraging creativity, innovation, critical-thinking, and problem-solving. These skills
prepare students for success in their chosen careers.
The program is ideal for individuals who have a passion to pave new paths, create new
things or solve problems. Entrepreneurship and innovation skills provide students with
the framework to apply these interests to the world of business.
The local economy depends on the ongoing creation of successful businesses.
BizInnovator Startup is a proven curriculum to provide youth and young adults with the
knowledge and confidence to be innovators for their communities.
